Plan Your Visit
A slower way of life. Fresh air. Beauty. Restoration.
Washington County is breathtaking- rolling hills, back roads, farm stands, fields in bloom, a dreamy bakery, a vineyard/winery that will stop you in your tracks. We've loved settling into life here, and we take great joy in supporting our like-minded local businesses, and letting you in on the hidden gems of this place.
On the Farm
Come early or stay late. Beginning in July wander the fields and Pick Your Own Healthcare — vegetables, cut flowers, tea and berries galore. Blueberries in July, raspberry rows in August, and the crown jewel of autumn — dahlias in September and October, hundreds of them, in bloom, with the Black Creek Valley as a gorgeous background. In the fall you'll also find specialty pumpkins and mums brough in from a local farm — the kind of autumn abundance that makes you want to fill your car and head home happy. The farm stand is self-serve. The fields are unhurried. There's no rush here.
Down the Road
On A Limb Bakery — Salem About two miles from the farm, just across from the local library on Main Street. Not your average small town stop. Their baked goods are extraordinary and the menu runs from savory hand pies and breakfast sandwiches to focaccia, soup, and salad. Go hungry. (Open Thursday–Saturday — perfect on your way in.)
Canteen Coffee — Cambridge Perhaps one of our favorite spaces to be in — beautifully decorated, cozy, a coffee shop with a fuller lunch menu worth lingering over. The kind of place that makes you want to stay another hour.
Juniper — Greenwich Step inside and you'll find an intimate, stunning dining room — forest green walls, candlelight, gorgeous artwork, and a menu that more than delivers. Grilled salmon, housemade ravioli, a legendary carrot cake. A perfect dinner after an afternoon on the farm. Reservations recommended. (Closed Sundays.)
South Dominion Winery — Cambridge Open Saturday and Sunday, 12–4. A stunning vineyard in every sense — the landscape, the wine, the quiet of it. The kind of place you stumble upon and never forget.
One Weekend a Month,
We Put on Our Best
Once a month we step away from the work of the fields and personally welcome you to an evening or a day of curated experiences — golden hour date nights, guided farm and health tours, bouquet making, community potlucks, and more.
Intimate, intentional, and worth planning your weekend around.
We've put together a few of our favorite ways to spend a day or a weekend in this beautiful county— look below for some inspiration.

Pick Your Own Healthcare
Morning — Head into the fields together. Sun-warmed blueberries or raspberries straight from the row, cherry tomatoes still warm from the vine, colorful peppers, fresh cut flowers. Sample while you pick. Fill your buckets. Let the kids discover what food actually tastes like when it comes from the ground — and the joy of eating straight from the fields.
Midday — Spread out on a farm picnic blanket or reserve the harvest table — bring a little picnic and let the fields do the rest
Afternoon — Merck Forest hiking 15 minutes away
5:00pm — Monthly Community Potluck — bring a plant-based dish to share, pull up a chair, let the kids run (it’s ok to show up without a dish)
